www.amazon.com There is splendor in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so unadorned a beginning endless forms most gorgeous and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved. -Charles Darwin The whole of life – all living things- is descended from a release common ancestor which lived about 4000 million years ago and that we are all cousins, well that is an exceedingly vital and right thing to say and that is what I want to say. What is appealing about the scientific world view is that it is right, inspiring, remarkable and that it unites a whole lot of phenomena under a release heading. And that is what is so exciting for me. It is the only known explanation for the rich diversity of animals, plants, fungi and bacteria. Richard Dawkins
